January 2010 Dinner

We had dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and when Ainsley saw the deer head she would just reach for it, so Jason thought she would like to pet it, and held her up to it. She liked it, and wanted to keep petting him.....Jason's arm got tired.

January 2010 The Cat

Ainsley loves Layla's cat, and was more than willing to share the bathtub with him, but Layla made him go away......afterwards, all Ainsley would say "Cat, bubbles, Cat,bubbles"

January 2010 Mall

This was Jason, Layla and Ainsley's first trip to the mall together. We went down to the play area and let Ainsley go to town playing with the other kids. Then we went and rode the carousel or as Ainsley calls it "horsey".

We have been back several times to the mall, and each time this is what Ainsley says "play" "horsey" "cookie".

We go play at the playground, buy a cookie then go to the carousel.

December 2009 Christmas Party

Ainsley was soooo excited to be sitting in a big girl car seat (It was my friends carseat she left in the car.) That same day we went to Alyssa school for her class Christmas Party, Alyssa likes to show off Ainsley.

November 2009 Roadtrip

In November we took a roadtrip to Houston for Jason's Grandmothers birthday party. Ainsley came with us, and we had to stop at a gas station just becasue it looked like the coolest place in the world. We were right. It was, here Ainsley and I are with Bucee..... If you are ever headed down to Houston, you have to have some beaver nuggets, oh so good.

All that excitement wore Ainsley out.....nap time.

Ebele is our new friend.
She has started full time with Ainsley and me this week. Ebele is 6mo old. She is a chubby ball of sweetness. I am trying to get her to like me better than she does Jason....but I am not sure it will happen.

Guess who turned one???
Ainsley turned one on the 21st.
I had her all dolled up with piggy tails and some bows I made her, and then we had a small cupcake party with Aaron, Alyssa, me, my friend Matt, and my sister Veida.
Her real party is this weekend with her mom and nona, it will be a poolside party..yay.

#1 Ainsley is sooo concerned about Taiko's eating habits. She tries to taste test his food to make sure it is healthy enough for him, as well as any time she eats in her bounce chair, she gives Taiko ample portions to keep his weight on.... so sweet to share.
#2 Ainsley's two bottom teeth are growing, as well as her two top ones (not pictured, they are still little). She has been chewing food for a few months now, but only recently had the aid of teeth.
#3 Ainsley loves to share kisses with everyone. And just last week she learned how to blow kisses, hand to mouth and the muuuuwah sound and all. Super cute.

How does one child be so dang cute? I mean really...

I was looking for something under the couch, and so instead of picking up the couch, I got a flashlight and looked under it...well Ainsley found the flashlight, and was very interested.... When the light flashed in her eyes she would growl at it....or what noise means she is dissatisfied, that sort of sounds like a disgruntled throat clearing....growl.... but she played with it for a few minutes...it was picture worthy.

As Ainsley is getting more mobile (and by mobile I mean fast and furious...and inquisitive.....) I thought I would by a pack and play to let her roam and play in...also Jason's brother is having a baby (well his girlfriend Stephanie is having his kid....whatever...lol) so I am sure I will need to use the pack and play for him/her too.....

Alixis says that Ainsley does not use the pack and play at their house, and I didn't think it would be a big deal for Ainsley...however, if she is not preoccupied quickly with toys, she will cry and let you know that you are being the meanest person in the world to her by making her play in it.....but we take it one minute at a time, trying to acclimate her to the "space" she can call her own....maybe even one day take a nap in it....maybe.

Ainsley has learned to crawl during the month of February. Not only is she crawling, but pulling up and standing.

Ainsley had her jarred food for lunch....and it was speghetti. Don't you just love her little messy clown face...the picture was taken a few moments into the meal.....she was way messier, and had to have a bath after lunch.

We went to lunch at Little Mexico, and Ainsley sat in the high chair for the first time. She got the hang of it quick.

Tummy time!!! Ainsley is playiing more on the floor. She is getting closer to crawling....she will get up on all fours, and rock, and rock, and attempt to start crawling.....then she lays on the floor and scoots....she can turn in a circle on her tummy quickly......it is super fun!

A New Discovery

I bought Ainsley a exersaucer of craigslist for $10. It was a deal I couldn't pass up! She loves it....and since I feel that I may be spoiling her.....this gives me a way to play with her without holding or picking her up! Fun for all!

A Milestone

Surprise....today I learned that Ainsley has hit a milestone.....she will now pick up her bottle and put it in her mouth.....she is still an new at it, but she will get the hang of it..

I bought this swing from the twins mother that I used to babysit for....Ainsley sits in here at least once a day, she sits in it and watches tv, or the puppies, or me while I work around the house, and at Christmas time, she liked to stare at the lighted Christmas tree....she loves this swing, and she has even cat-napped in it a few times...(please excuse the mess in the background, I was putting away the Christmas Tree)..this picture was taken on Friday January 2nd
